Advance Hair Treatment Procedure

Before going to take a hair treatment, it’s better to inform your doctor regarding your habitual infections, illness, or supplements and medication you entered.The treatment may not be recommended or may not be provide for those who are on blood thinners, habitual smoker, or alcoholic’s persons.

Hair therapy

Advance Hair therapy is a three-step procedure.

Step 1: Blood is drawn, usually from the arm, and collected in a test tube and put in a specialized centrifuge machine that spins at high speed to separate blood components.

Step 2: After centrifugation process blood is separated into two major components called as plasma and sediment, the red blood cells settle down and clear fluid is called as plasma which contains white blood cells and platelets – this is called as PLATELET POOR PLASMA (PPP).

This platelet-poor plasma is collected in another test tube and re-centrifuged to separate platelets from PPP. After 15 minutes of centrifugation process PLATELET RICH PLASMA is separated from the platelet-poor plasma.

Step 3: The platelet-rich plasma collected in insulin syringes and injected into areas of the scalp that are suffering from hair loss. However, the ideal volume is to be injected is 8 to12 ml.

Before this injection, the doctor disinfects and administers local anaesthesia. The whole site is then cleaned thoroughly. After receiving the treatment which takes about 1 hour, the patient can return back to his normal work, as routine.

To obtain desired good results this treatment usually recommended at an interval of 1 month for consecutive 5 to 6 months. This is followed by maintenance sitting once in 3 to 6 months.

Post-Treatment Instructions:

Resume your daily activity almost immediately after your Hair therapy; hardly there are minimal restrictions.	Does not press, touch, or rub on the treated area for at least 10-12 hours after your treatment.
Avoid chemical based shampoos for first four days. Use shampoo that is pH balanced, for example baby shampoos (any brand).	Don’t wash or shampoo on the same day, you can wash the hair on the next day.
Avoid hair colouring, straightening or using other hair products for 3 days.	Do not apply sprays, gels, any other styling products to your hair for at least 4 days.
These injections may cause temporary inflammation, pain, redness, and swelling, this discomfort is absolutely normal. If you are more worried call us during clinic hours.	Do not apply ice pack on the injected area as ice acts as an anti-inflammatory action
Avoid or limit the use of aspirin, ibuprofen or any other NSAID for at least 1 week prior to and 2 weeks after your treatment. Remember, our goal is to create inflammation. These medications will limit or prevent inflammation, which can diminish your results.	Do not do any kind of massages to the areas treated.
Avoid doing vigorous exercise for 24hours	Do not expose to sun and heat for 2-3 days.
Avoid alcohol, smoking, and caffeine at least for 3-4 days.	Do not wet your hair for at least 3 hours after your treatment.
Avoid using minoxidil or any hair product or coloring or straightening for 3 days.	Do not hesitate to call us or to visit our clinic, if you have any discomfort, or any enquiry regarding the treatment; our doctor’s team help you out.
Be sure to take a hot shower and wash your hair that evening, after the treatment, to promote the effects of Hair Treatment.	In extremely rare cases skin infection may occur, don’t panic, the discomfort is easily treated with antibiotic medicines.
Avoid saunas, steam rooms, swimming for 2 days after your treatment.	Do not forget to use medicines prescribed by doctor between the sessions.
